Centrifugal Pumps

Centrifugal pumps are a sub-class of dynamic axisymmetric work-absorbing turbo machinery. Centrifugal pumps are used to transport fluids by the conversion of rotational kinetic energy to the hydrodynamic energy of the fluid flow. The rotational energy typically comes from an engine or electric motor.  Common uses include water, sewage, petroleum and plastics and rubbers pumping. The reverse function of the centrifugal pump is a water turbine converting potential energy of water pressure into mechanical rotational energy.

Famico offers the world’s most extensive lines of ISO 13709/API 610 and ISO 2858-5199/ANSI B73.1 compliant designs along with pumps designed to ASME, JIS and other globally recognized design standards. In addition to offering more than 100 distinct pump models, Famico also provides its customers unequaled engineering and technical support with the industry’s most progressive hydraulics, mechanical, materials, monitoring and diagnostics capabilities.
