Good degradability and Biodegradability of LAB in the environment is the main reason for widespread use of this combination as the primary cleaning agent in household detergents. LAB is suffocated at downstream plants to produce sulfuric acid which is used as the cleaning agent at the rate of 10 to 20 percent in hand washing powder, 5 to 10 percent in machine washing powder and 10 to 40 percent in dish washing liquid.
